I have fished with Captain O’Shaughnessy for close to 10 years now. His attention to detail and ability to put clients on fish is top notch. He consistently puts big fish in the boat and places on or near the top in most tourneys he enters. The area they fish is one of the most beautiful in the world. I would recommend Gaelic Wake Sportfishing to anyone looking for a great fishing adventure. Neal Larsson General Manager  On The Water Magazine http://www.onthewater.com/

Thanks for the great fishing trip. Our group of 5 ranged from age 6 to 72. Everyone had a blast. We had over 75 bluefish on the lines and over 80 scup and sea bass. I have been on at least 10 different charters and this was by far the best. Captain Henry O’ is a great fisherman with a great personality. His son Henry is also a great person, it is hard to believe he is only 16 years old. They were both really good with both of my sons. I look forward to to making this a yearly tradition when we visit the cape. Here is a quick video of our trip shot by and narrated by Henry O’. As a bonus Henry is also a really good photographer.

I have been on a lot of fishing trips over the last 50 years. This was by far the best trip I have ever been on. Captain Henry O and his son are a first class act. They know their business, they are professional, knowledgable and know how to catch a fish. Good People, Good Fishing, Great Time.
My 4 sons, my son-in-law and I had a great day. We caught a lot of fish and had a lot of laughs.
You will not find a bettter first mate anywhere.
We will be back ~

We had a great time fishing with eels along the the elisabeth islands . Capt Henry O’ put us on the fish right away, he hunted for the fish, and hooked up all day long. Gaelic Wake Sport Fishing Charters is a top shelf operation. Capt Henry and First Mate Jr. are hands on charter captain and mate which made it an awesome experience.I cant wait till next year when Capt.Henry and JR. puts us on the fifty pounder…he wont get away this time. Thanks guys …for the memories. Denny Doyle, Hull Ma

I would like to make it clear that the Gaelic Wake is the boat to be on!  Capt. Henry O’ and his son Jr. are truly knowledgable and professional gentlemen. My group of five easily maxed out on our fishing limits and all of us had a wonderful time. As the Captain stated “fishing is supposed to be fun! ” and indeed it was. I was in search of a keeper striper for years and the landed three keepers on the Gaelic Wake ! The seabass and the porgies were huge and the good Captain knew exactly where to find them. I look forward to fishing with these gentlemen again soon and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a fun, safe and successful fishing trip. Stay safe guys, and thanks again.  Cris Berkel NewYork

I had a great experience fishing a few days ago with Capt. Henry O and his son Henry Jr. The two work like a well oiled machine and almost don’t even need to communicate because they are so in tune with each other. I live on the cape and have been fishing it my whole life and have never caught the amount of fish that we did with Gaelic Wake Charters. All in all great people, great atmosphere and a great time.  Brendan Peterson, Falmouth, Ma

I have fished all over the world and this had to be one of the best experiences I have had fishing. Big aggressive fish! Henry and Jr were great hosts and put us on 25-30lb Stripers all day long. We caught a cooler full of Blue fish as well. For midwesterners a Blue fish is similar in size but a lot more aggressive than a coho salmon. We had to stop because we had no more room in the cooler. Great time, could not recommend the Gaelic Wake enough for you next adventure off the cape. Looking forward to the next trip.  Matt Halkyard , Chicago

Capt Henry O’,
Thanks for the great fishing experience!! We’ve been coming to the Cape for over 30 years and our trip yesterday ranks at the top!! You and Henry jr. make a great team. He does an awesome job tending to all the technicals. As we were heading out at 1st sun light he said “I don’t like to lose fish”, he stands by his word!! …continued good luck and hope to see you next year!!         Team Berkshire

Best bottom fishing ever. Your son was awesome, great kid, very helpful, you must be proud of him. I told Chris I love your boat a lot and I appreciate that you made our day very productive and fun. We will stay in touch and set up some more trips. Pictures are great except I need to go to the hair dresser after the boat ride, just kidding. Thanks again Capt. Henry O’ and mate Henry Jr. Sattie Jaichand, Long Island, NY

Gaelic Wake Captain Henry O and his first mate son Henry Jr. will provide you with an awesome fishing experience.  Whether you are jigging  the rips, eeling in the rocks or offshore fishing for tuna, you are going to have a great day and a great fishing experience.  I can’t wait for our next trip out. Pat Ball, Mashpee, MA.

It was an amazing experience for me, Thanks Henry and Jr for a truly amazing day of fishing. It isn’t often you get to fill a massive cooler filled from top to bottom with 20-30lb stripers and big  bluefish. You guys are a real joy to be around and made our outing an incredible experience. If you are looking for great fishing experience, Gaelic Wake Sport fishing is the one, I can’t wait to do it again. Paul Kamhout, Chicago

The afternoon I spent aboard the Gaelic Wake was hands down the best experience I’ve ever had on a boat. Captain Henry O’ and his son Henry Jr. are easily the deadliest duo on the waters of the Cape. Not a moment passed by when we weren’t reeling in a hefty blue fish. These guys know their stuff and they absolutely love to fish. This charter guarantees two things; great fishing and a ton of fun.  Joe Bergeron, Needham, MA

I know you andyour fishing skills along with doing business with you,  has been one of my great pleasures. It is always a great excitement to see those soakers come in to Cuttyhunk Island  Striped Bass Capital Of The World.  Just watching the peoples faces at the dock, and the way you handle your business and customers is just wonderful. Good Luck With your new Venture. Bonnie Veeder — Manager/ Director Cuttyhunk Fishing Club http://www.cuttyhunkfishingclub-bb.com

“I have asked Capt. Henry O’ to take me out on trips to entertain clients and other business contacts.   I have also taken my kids out with Henry O’.  Every time, I have left the boat grateful for all of Henry’s hard work and devotion to my clients and family.  The Gaelic Wake is a beautiful, clean boat with a wide open area for fishing.  We have been out on rough seas and the boat was as stable as any boat around.  Henry puts in as much effort as any fisherman I know to get us onto the fish.  We have hammered stripers, blue fish, sea bass, and every other fish in Nantucket Sound.  You name the fish, and henry seems to know where they will show up.   Henry Junior is a top notch fisherman and first mate and works his tail off to keep the fishermen in a position to catch fish.  You cannot ask for a better fishing experience. Peter Noone, Belmont MA.

I have had the pleasure of fishing for big bass and blues on the Gaelic Wake with Capt. Henry O’ and his mate Henry  Jr. for three years now. This father/son dynamic-duo knows how to put Big Bass in the boat. You won’t be disappointed. I can’t wait till May for my next fishing trip on the Gaelic Wake. Bruce McIntyre Cotuit, MA

Thanks Capt. Henry we had a great time with you and your son. I have fished on many boats before, but the way you and your mate run your boat is top notch. We are looking forward to booking another trip in the near future. Keep in touch.  Chris Hensel, New York

I’m a marine photographer(www.capecodpanoramas.com) and Captain Henry O’ and his son Henry  Jr. have been of great help to me in traversing and photographing the area in and around Cuttyhunk. Their fishing and boating skills are absolutely top notch. Whether you’re east of Monomoy or anywhere in Nantucket Sound all the way down to south of Cuttyhunk I have enough experience with Captain Henry O’ and the Gaelic Wake to assure anyone that if the fish are out there, they’ll reel them in. Frank Best, Cotuit MA.

Capt. Henry knows how to fish and I should know because I’m lucky enough to be on the receiving line to get the extra fish(Bass +Blues). Thanks Henry. Also a Cuttyhunk recipe, for Bluefish: spread mayo over fillets, salt-pepper, and lemons cut for after fish is cooked. Cook on the grill or broil. Fran Veeder, Cuttyhunk MA.
